Murmiland is a project by Ortwin Grüttner of Hannover, Lower Saxony. Since 1989, 60 hand-made marble runs were built. They are shown in exhibitions in and around Hannover, and all of them are playable by the visitors. Before you ask: All of the marble runs are single pieces and not for sale.

A commuter travelng to Munich, Bavaria, usually needs 40 minutes for her way to work and back. She was so upset with the permanent delays of her train that she decided to document the misery in an original way. For the whole year of 2018, she knitted two rows of a scarf every day, using a color code: black for up to five minutes delay, white for up to 30 minutes delay, and red for more than 30 minutes delay. It turned out to be an embarrassing testimony for the German railway.
